CompTIA Project+ certification is the credential recognizing excellence in project management. It is a vendor-neutral certification that is applicable to professionals in all industries. CompTIA Project+ proves the mastery of core project management skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, communication, team building/leadership, and setting and managing expectations.
CompTIA Project+ gives project managers the necessary skills to successfully overcome obstacles and finish projects on time and within budget.
New Horizons’ Project+ course is a three-day class that prepares students to take the Project+ certification exam. The certificate tests knowledge across the disciplines of project methodology combined with business and interpersonal skills. At course completion, the student will be able to demonstrate:
- Project Initiation and Scope Definition
- Project Planning
- Project Execution, Control, and Coordination
- Project Closure, Acceptance, and Support
Prerequisites
New Horizons Computer Learning Centers and CompTIA do not strictly define the prerequisites for Project+. It is suggested that students have either the A+ certification or equivalent IT-related work experience to adequately prepare them. Project+ is designed for IT professionals with 12 months of experience in leading, managing and directing small IT projects.
Exam Requirements
Candidates must successfully pass 1 exam in order to obtain the Project+ certification.
